BASAR ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Doctor It Up™ mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our app.

1. Data Collection

Recipe queries you enter are sent to OpenAI's API to generate recipe suggestions. No personal accounts or login are required to use Doctor It Up™. We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the app.

2. Local Storage

Your dietary preferences, saved recipes, and shopping lists are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers or any third party.

3. Third-Party Services

We use OpenAI's API to generate recipe suggestions. When you submit a recipe query, the text you type is sent to OpenAI for processing. No personal information is attached to these queries. Please refer to OpenAI's privacy policy for information on how they handle data.

4. Subscriptions

Payment processing for subscriptions is handled entirely through Apple's App Store and the Google Play Store. We do not collect or store any payment information directly. All billing and payment data is managed by Apple or Google.

5. No Personal Data Collection

We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any personally identifiable information. Your use of Doctor It Up™ is entirely anonymous.

6. No Analytics or Tracking

We do not use analytics services, tracking tools, or advertising frameworks. We do not track your usage patterns, location, or any other behavioral data.

7. Data Retention

Since Doctor It Up™ does not collect personal data or require user accounts, there is no personal data stored on our servers. Recipe queries sent to OpenAI are processed in real time and are not stored by us after the response is generated. Shared recipe links are stored on our servers indefinitely so they remain accessible, but they contain only recipe content and no personal information. All user-generated content (saved recipes, shopping lists, preferences) is stored locally on your device and retained until you delete it.

8. Data Deletion

Because all personal data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over deleting it at any time:

• To delete saved recipes: Go to the Saved tab and remove individual recipes, or clear all saved data from the app settings.
• To delete your shopping list: Go to the Shopping List tab and clear all items.
• To delete all app data: Uninstall Doctor It Up™ from your device. This removes all locally stored data permanently.
• To request deletion of shared recipe links: Contact us at hello@basarwellness.com with the shared link, and we will remove it from our servers within 30 days.

If you have any data deletion requests, please contact us at hello@basarwellness.com and we will respond within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

Doctor It Up™ is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
